Hello everyone,
I trust that you had a great Easter weekend…it was so awesome to be together last weekend in church. Our prayer is that many people’s hearts and lives were touched and that we continue to live under the ‘resurrection story’ all year round… not just one Sunday a year!!
This Sunday at Alderbrook we are focusing on missions: we will be praying for Levi Geisbrecht as he heads out to Fiji in a week or so to start a new church building. He will also be joined by Dan and Shaymus Penner, plus our son in law Nathan Chernoff, as well as his father Cary and his brother Jared. Sounds like a pretty exciting (and crazy ) team. Speaking of Fiji, we want to acknowledge and honor Rev. David Rathjen this Sunday for his incredible work in Fiji, Romania and literally all around the world. We also can’t forget about the Mexico #2 Team, led by Clay and Jeannine that are preparing for their trip to Casa De Luz in July.
Next Sunday, April 30th will be an MEI emphasis. We will be sharing about the school, plus there will be a Drime Team that will be coming to perform. Also, Vijay Manuel, head of MEI schools will be sharing. I am so excited to hear about what God is doing in the school.
Starting May 7th I want to begin a new series called ‘Modern Family’, which is a ten week series on the Ten Commandments…Ten Values that God wants to build strong families today.
