Hi everyone,
Last week was a BLAST !! We had so much fun at our ACC Carnival Day. The Dunk Tank, Slip N Slide, all the Carnival Games,Food and Candy was awesome wasn’t it. We were just fulfilling our ACC Kidzone mission statement: “Sugar up your kids, run them hard and then send them home” (there has got to be a Bible verse that supports this!! lol)
In fact, we ‘ve been having fun most of the summer with the Alderbrook Church’s 13 Days of Summer. Its hard to believe that we are almost at the end. This Sunday is Day #12 and it’s Jersey Day at ACC. We invite everyone to wear their favorite sports jersey and if you would like, send in your old sports photo’s to Kate Soeten (k.soeten@hotmail.com). We want to show you off on the big screen on Sunday.
This Sunday Gregg will be leading the music and worship. Make sure you come with your heart prepared, open and willing to receive what God has for you.
We will also hear all about the Bevan Bible Blast, our Kidzone Vacation Bible Program in Abbotsford. If you can pray, help out or drop off some baking please talk with Hanna and Allie on Sunday.
This week I want to continue our series on FOCUS with a message titled, ‘Focus on Being a Part of Church Community’. Can you imagine going to the PNE Parade and not knowing that there is a huge 17 Day Fair to attend? Inside the PNE Fair there’s food and rides and exciting stuff to participate. Its the same with church…how many people just come and listen to the music and hear a sermon yet don’t get engaged in the incredible church community. This Sunday we will look at all the incredible benefits that church community has to offer.

This Month’s Sermon: FOCUS
The Yellow/Green room will be starting a study on Esther. The Red room will continue their study about Jesus’ love for them and the world.
The ACC staff are putting on a VBS at Hannah Soeten’s complex. We are calling it Bevan’s Bible Blast! Happening August 24-26th from 9am-12pm. Join us for games, crafts, songs and lessons all on fruits of the spirit! Please contact Hanna to register.
Middle School
This Sunday morning we will be meeting after coffee 4:59 outside to watch and discuss part 3 of the series, “Skate It Off.” This weeks episode is about integrity. Integrity is who you are when no-one is looking. Proverbs 10:9 says, “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.”
Summer Events
Our next event is our Beach Day at Hayward Lake on Saturday, August 20th, from 10am-2pm. Lunch and games will be provided. Bring beach gear and whatever snacks you may want to share. If you need a ride or directions don’t hesitate to ask Hanna or Joel. Hope to see you all out!!!
The next summer event is our ALL NIGHTER! We will be meeting on Saturday, August 27,th at 8pm at the Penner’s home. Come for games, snacks, movies, campfire and a complete lack of sleep!!!
