Its the middle of summer!! Isn’t the weather great ? I know lots of people are heading away this weekend for the BC Day long weekend.
We hope that you have an incredible time away, enjoying some great rest and relaxation with your family. We will be praying that God will keep you safe as you travel and that you enjoy your rest!!
This Sunday at ACC is our 8th Day…of the 13 Days of Summer Fun at Alderbrook Church. ..its Ice Cream Sundaes !!
Actually, Sunday is National Ice Cream Day…I’m not joking or kidding. Check it out!! I have added this special day to my calendar. It will rank up there with free Slurpee Day at 7-11.
Right after church we are going to have Ice Cream Cones and Ice Cream Sundaes!!
I will be continuing our summer series called FOCUS. Last week we looked at the story of Ananias and Saphira from Acts 4 and how to “get the junk out of the trunk”.
This weekend we are going to look at “Focusing on our True Identity”. Have you ever considered how God views you and the person that God is creating you to become?
God has a purpose and a plan …and a special identity for each person. You will be encouraged….
Again, see you this Sunday. Its National Ice Cream Day…and we want to celebrate it!!

MIDDLE SCHOOL
Middle school students will be in the service this Sunday. Next Sunday we will be starting a new series called, “Skate It Off.” In this series we will learn about character and what it means and looks like to have a godly character.
Character is all your inward traits, which produce outward actions. A person of godly character is selfless, caring, hardworking, joyful, and honest.
Look at what it says in 1 Samuel 16:7 NIV.
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his
height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things
people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord
looks at the heart.”
SUMMER EVENTS
Come join us for a friendly competition of 5 pin bowling at Galaxy Bowl on Wednesday, August 3rd from 7pm-9pm. The address is 32490 Simon Avenue, Abbotsford. The cost is $10 plus tax per person. Please make sure to wear or bring your own socks!
