ACC @CBC June 19, 2016 Happy Father’s Day!

Its Fathers Day this Sunday at Alderbrook and a time that we get to celebrate all the men of ACC!
It is also the 3rd Sunday of Alderbrook’s Thirteen days of Summer…more about that in a second….

I was so moved last Sunday to hear the beautiful testimony and story that Nadine Sands shared about her husband Michael and his fight with ALS (Lou Gehrigs disease).
As Nadine shared about Michael, I thought that this is definitely one guy that I want to make sure that I meet when we all get to heaven. It was so amazing to hear about his faith and outlook in life…and then to hear how Nadine and her precious family walked through Mike’s battle while holding only on to Jesus. My hear was full on Sunday because this family honored God and trusted him every step of the way. If you missed last Sunday and would like to purchase a copy of Nadine’s book, just talk with Chris Ryan.

This Sunday is Fathers Day and usually most men often stay away from church on this day because they don’t like feeling that they are not measuring up or doing the ‘dad’ thing right. At ACC it certainly won’t be like that…I promise. We are so blessed at Alderbrook with the dads..and all the men. I appreciate you men being real and down to earth…and always ready to have a great time. I have an encouraging message that is titled, “Looking For A Few Good Men”. Right after church we are having Ice Cream and Rootbeer Floats…yaaayyy for Fathers Day.

If you want to know what else is happening this summer with the 13 Days ..take a look below.

Middle School

This Sunday we will be meeting after coffee 4:59 to watch and discuss part 1 of a new series called “Overrated.”

The definition of overrated is anything that is given to much hype. We all know things that we would consider to be overrated but there are lots of things that are overrated when it comes to Jesus and growing to be more like Him. Come find out what those things are!!!
