Hi everyone,

I hope that you had a great Thanksgiving weekend! Are you still eating left-overs or are you onto something totally different like pasta or seafood?!?
Always remember…Thanksgiving isn’t just a one day holiday, for the Bible tells us to, “give thanks in all things…”

This Sunday we are excited to have a couple of very special guests at Alderbrook….
First of all, we want to welcome the CBC Worship Travel Team, who will be leading the singing/worship this Sunday. Shar Warkentin leads this team that goes out to various churches throughout the school year. We are privileged and excited to have them at Alderbrook. Every Sunday I am so thankful and blessed to be able to have space at the CBC campus.!!

Secondly, I have invited George and Sheila Klassen to come and share this Sunday at church. George and Sheila have an incredible ministry in Africa and South America that drills water wells so that villages have clean water to drink. If you don’t think it’s a big deal I challenge you to turn off your water in your home for a few hours; you will quickly realize how dependant (and blessed) we are with clean water for our families and homes. But the real reason I wanted George/Sheila to share is because of their love and passion to bring people to Jesus. I have been so impressed with their ministry that I want ACC to share in it. Also, George and Sheila are Nadine Sands parents (remember when Nadine spoke/shared from her book, Hold On, Let Go). Why not invite someone to church on Sunday?

Its going to be a great Sunday, you will not want to miss it!!

Middle School

We will be meeting in room 204 right after coffee 4:59. We will be watching and discussing part 3 of the series “Day Off.” This weeks episode is about how the choices we make affect others.

Proverbs 22:24-25 says,
Don’t make friends with quick-tempered people or spend time with those who have bad tempers. If you do,
you will be like them. Then you will be in real danger.

And Proverbs 13:20 says,
Become wise by walking with the wise; hangout with fools and watch your life fall to pieces.

High School

Next Wednesday evening we will be meeting at CBC from 7-8:30pm to watch and discuss part 3 in our series, “Relationship-Status”. God calls us to live a life of purity, so we will be challenging our High School Students to create and develop physical boundaries that they uphold in their dating relationships and to seek to honour God with their decisions.

1 Corinthians 6:18-20 says, Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your bodies.
