Hi everyone,
Well it looks like everyone survived putting their clocks back and are now ready to embrace the earlier, darker nights.
If you need a project that could help brighten up those dark days, why not get started on putting up your Christmas lights. After all, it’s only seven weeks to Christmas!!
This Sunday we want to welcome a close friend of our daughter Cynthia and our family, Emma to lead our singing. I have enjoyed so much the singing and worship that has been happening at Alderbrook. Isn’t it great just to get together and to sing to Jesus? There are so many Sundays that I just want to keep on going in our worship…let’s remember that God appreciates our praise and prayer to Him.
I want to start a brand new series this Sunday that is titled, LIFE: Mysterious or Miraculous? I’m sure that many of us feel like life is mundane, pretty boring and quote routine, right? Have you ever felt that there must be more to life? This series looks at the incredible life-giving and sometimes miraculous events that we see in the Bible, and to be reminded that God wants to do the same through our lives. Would you be open to the fact that God has much more in store for your life that you could ever imagine or dream? This Sunday we are going to look at ‘ Why don’t we see more miracles happen?’ It’s going to be an interesting message.
Finally, remember that on Sunday November 16th the Alderbrook Mexico Team is putting on a scrumptious Mexican lunch for everyone. It’s going to be a great meal and it’s by donation. There will also be a Silent Auction after church with all proceeds going to Casa De Luz, our missions project.
See you on Sunday,
Pastor Glenn and Cheryl
Ps have you picked up your Christmas Banquet tickets yet?
