Sunday, January 12 || Alderbrook Church

Hi everyone,
Are you making it? Are you surviving?
Many people dislike the time right after Christmas/New Years.
All the Christmas decorations and lights are down, it’s still pretty dark (and somewhat gloomy) outside.
The kids and youth all head back to school and to their studies….pretty gloomy huh?
Well, it’s only one month to Valentine’s Day….and I’ve already seen the stores promoting the chocolates…a silver lining in every grey cloud, right?

This Sunday Gregg will be leading the music/worship as we gather together. The coffee will be on and the bagels will be ready.
I look forward to gathering together and spending time in God’s presence with the Alderbrook Church family.
We will be continuing our 2020 Vision series, seeing with God’s vision. Last week we looked at getting God’s vision for our personal lives.
This Sunday we want to look at “Getting God’s Vision for our Church”. What does that mean?

Well, to start..it’s not my church….and secondly, it’s not your church either. We don’t call the shots.
In fact, God is the one who guides and sets the course for our church. It’s our job to pray and to read the Bible and discern what God is asking us to do in Abbotsford (and around the world) in 2020. Would you pray along with me and we look to determine and find out the exciting plan that God has for our church this new year.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday,
Pastor Glenn and Cheryl

Important Events This Month

2020 Vision Series

Its a brand new year, plus a brand new decade…its 2020.
2020 vison is a term used to express normal eye sight (clarity or sharpness of vision) measured at a distance of 20 feet. But what does that mean spiritually?
This series will explore how we can sharpen our vision to see what God wants us to see.
