Hello everyone,
What a great week of weather in Abbotsford…I miss all the good stuff!!
Cheryl and I , along with all of our children have been away this past week…just enjoying some rest and family time together. I love it when I can get away with our kids, especially at the age where they are at with work, school, being married, etc…Family is so important to Cheryl and I so we were thrilled to get away and just hang with our kids. We arrive back to Abbotsford Sunday night, so we wont be at church this Sunday. See what I mean? I miss all the good stuff!!
This Sunday Austin and Becca Toews will be leading worship. Is there nothing that this young couple doesn’t do?? I am so appreciative that they share their gifts, talents and energy with Alderbrook. Most of their time is spent with the children and youth..but this Sunday they are a gift for the whole church.
Dave Rathjen will be speaking, and I know that you will not want to miss out. Dave has so much life experience that when he shares I always listen very closely. I love the passion that Dave and Phyllis have for God, for our church and for world missions. When you hang out with them …you will quickly find out their age….they are ‘recycled teenagers’!!

In Kidzone we are in a new series about finding Jesus in the stories of Moses. This Sunday the kids will learn about ultimate wisdom and how God always knows what to do. We can ask God for wisdom just like Jesus did! “If any of you lack wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5
Let’s pray this week that our kids will look to God to make right choices.
