Well, this year’s weather will rank as one of the craziest on record huh?
First the snow, then the rain, followed by the heat…and now smoke?!?
When have we ever seen this type of weather and air quality?
It was wonderful to attend Jadon and Sarah’s wedding last weekend up in Kelowna. What a beautiful ceremony that put Christ in the centre set within an incredible sense of love and commitment. Cheryl and I ( and some of our kids) have stayed up here in the Okanagan just getting some rest and down time…we miss our church family.
Have you remembered to pray for the four youth that are doing Missions in Cuba? Please daily pray for Rebecca, Marley, Cassidy and Ally…that God will use them and watch over them each and every singe day!!
This Sunday is another special 13 Days of Summer (there are only three left!!) This Sunday is International Sunday and its also Potluck Sunday, or bring the food from your country of birth/origin. It is always so great to sit down and have a meal together …and if you want to wear your cultural dress, feel free. I can hardly wait to see Walter Sieberts wooden shoes!!
This Sunday I am also excited to have Cary Chernoff speak. Cary (and wife Marla) is our daughter’s father-in -law and Cheryl and I are so blessed not just to have a phenomenal son-in-law, but God added wonderful ‘parents’ too. Cary was a part of our Fiji building team this past Spring and I have asked him to bring God’s Word this Sunday. You will definitely be challenged by the words that the Holy Spirit is placing in Cary’s heart.
Have a great “International Sunday” at Alderbrook…and remember that “God loved the whole world that He gave His only Son” (John 3:16)
