Hello everyone,
We had a great month of January didn’t we?
This Sunday is going to be a great day at Alderbrook….as we get ready to send our Mexico Missions team off for their outreach ( Feb 9th-16th). We are going to hear from the team and get an opportunity to pray for all of them too. At the end of the service, everyone is invited to stay for a delicious ‘ Mexican-themed’ lunch for a donation to the Casa De Luz building project. I am so excited not just to be able to take our youngest son Jared on his first missions trip, but to join the other families/children of the church. Please pray that God will not only use our team but that God will do something radical and transformational in each persons heart.
Speaking of missions….we will also get a quick update from Graham and his son Elijah, who are travelling to Argentina during Spring Break. I love this!! Parents taking their kids to see the world outside the city of Abbotsford….and telling others about Jesus. We also want to highlight the Fiji missions trip in April as Dave and Phyllis Rathjen will be constructing a church in a Fijian village. I don’t know about you…but I am sensing that ACC wants to look, act and behave like the early NT church…
This Sunday..( I told you it was going to be exciting) we also want to welcome six (6) people into membership. We believe in active and participatory membership at ACC. ….Its like people coming down from the stands and getting onto the field to join what God is doing in our church. We welcome Dave and Linda, Noel and Theresa and Don and Janice…May God use you in a great way here in our church.
Wow!! I can hardly wait for Sunday. Why not invite someone to church this week…a family member, a friend or neighbour, a co worker? Let’s live in Acts 2 this week okay?

This week the kids will be learning about the choice to be generous. What a great choice that we all should make! God’s command to generously give is an important choice in everyones life.
The children at Kidzone have the opportunity to give their change each Sunday to help people in need. We hope that teaching children about the joys of giving does not just happen on Sundays but is encourage throughout the each week and is part of their families values.
