It’s going to be another great Sunday!!

Do you know it’s only one week until twenty-four people from Alderbrook leave on their missions trip to Mexico? They are so excited and ready to go…and since I’m on the team, I’m getting pretty stoked too!!

I love the opportunity to do missions work with a group of people from our church. It is going to be a great week. Would you pray for the team? This Sunday at church you are going to be able to pray over the team as we send them off.

This Sunday I want to continue our series on the Beatitudes, as we look at Matthew 5:7, Blessed are the merciful. Have you ever thought about the ‘mercy quotient ‘ in your life? Do you know how mercy is supposed to work in us and through us? You will be amazed at the incredible way that God wants us to reflect His character in our everyday lives as we show love in action…..

High School Youth Alpha

We have had a really exciting start to our Youth Alpha series. There has been FANTASTIC food, fun and discussion. Our first week we looked into Life and some questions that are frequently asked among people believers or not. The second week we discussed Jesus and who he was and is. We have been amazed to see how open and honest these conversations have been. Let us just say that we have some amazing Youth in our church and we are so blessed to get to be walking along beside them as they grow in their relationships with Jesus.

As a church and as parents please continue to pray for our Youth and everyone involved with the Youth Alpha series.

Middle School

This past Sunday we started a great 4 week series called “That’s It” with our Middle School Youth. It is a fast paced sketch comedy show set in different styles to help our middle school youth understand the foundational principles of serving and putting others first. Our Middle School youth is the definition of liveliness and we are really looking forward to getting to know them more as we meet together on Sunday mornings.

Middle/High School Event

On Sunday January 31st we will be going swimming at MRC. Drop off will be at 6:15pm and pick-up will be at 8:30pm.

It costs $3.10 for 12 years and under and $4.20 for 13-17 year olds.
