Hi everyone,
First of all…remember to turn your clocks back this weekend!! Yup, that’s right, you get an extra hour of sleep which means that after the kids go out to the neighbours on Halloween and grab some candy….you’ve got extra time!
This Sunday at Alderbrook, Justin Irwin and the team will be leading worship and singing. I love this time on Sundays when we can get together as a church (along with the kids) and give praise to God.
We don’t have a long time, so make sure that you prepare your heart, mind and even your soul towards what God wants to say to you this Sunday morning.
This is also Communion Sunday and after the sermon we will be gathering together to remember the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The story never gets old and should never get stale in our lives. We should always keep this in the forefront of our heart every single day.
This Sunday we continue our sermon series called FIGHT. Its a series about determining which battles that we face in life that we have to win. There are a number of things in my own life that I always don’t succeed in…like my golf score, my constant addiction for chips and a few others that I succumb to. But what are the battles that we have to win? God wants to show us the areas in our lives that are of prime importance and how the Holy Spirit gives us the strength to win those battles. This Sunday we look at the topic, Fight…When the Odds Are Against You.
The coffee and bagels will be on…plus, you get an extra hour of sleep!!

You can also download the kids bible app today to watch the same stories we show Sundays! For the next couple weeks the Green and Yellow Room will be learning to obey God through the story of Noah in “Two By Two.”
This week in Kidzone the older elementary kids are in their series called “TruthLab Investigations.” Fun lesson about discoveries Dr. Luke—our Head Researcher—made into Jesus’ life. Through these stories, kids will discover what God says about each of us as His children.
This Sunday they will be looking at one of Jesus’ parables to discover that God says that when I mess up, He forgives me when I ask. I can be forgiven. “But God is faithful and fair. If we admit that we have sinned, he will forgive us our sins. He will forgive every wrong thing we have done.” 1 John 1:9
