Hello everyone,
I love the fall season, especially when it comes around to Thanksgiving. I love the autumn colours on the tree’s just before the leaves fall, I enjoy the warm Starbucks coffee to jump start the day…and for the sports crowd…hockey, football, baseball and basketball …it doesn’t get any better!! This is when my wife just rolls her eyes at me!!
Wasn’t it a great Sunday with Kamal Dhillon last week? What an amazing story of courage, faith and strength under incredible circumstances…even almost death. Would you be praying for Kamal this week as she endures this lengthy surgery on her jaw.
I know that she will deeply appreciate it!
This Sunday Frank Sawatsky will be leading the singing at Alderbrook. I have appreciated the team of musicians, sound and media over the last number of weeks. Thank you for coming early; thank you for your commitment and dedication; thank you for your service and ministry to the church….you are greatly appreciated.
I’m going to take a quick break from our ‘Not A Fan ‘ series….and share a word with you on the topic of Thanksgiving. Some of you are saying…..wow, how long did it take to think up that one?? Lol. Seriously I want to look at an incredible miracle that Jesus performed in the New Testament and hope to shape our thinking and mindset into having an ‘Attitude of Gratitude’… It’s going to be good!
Finally, there have been many new people and families coming to Alderbrook since September and I just want to thank every one of you for reaching out and making them feel welcome!! I am so proud of you ACC.

It is Thanksgiving weekend and we are very thankful for all the people the help out with Kidzone. We have a wonderful group of people that make our children’s ministry awesome and fun for the kids.
Keeping with the theme of the parables, this Sunday the kids will be learning about the parable of the unforgiving servant. It is so great that God forgives us and in the same way we should always forgive other people.

Our middle school ministry with be having a Girls Night and Boys Night this week:
-Boys Night will be on October 15th from 6:00-8:00PM at Pastor Austin’s House ~ 422-3044 Clearbrook Rd.
