ACC @ CBC September 4, 2015

Wow…we made it through the summer and have arrived at the weekend before school starts!!
I’m sure that there are great cheers from parents…and some groans from the kids that just want to play or sleep in a little bit longer.

I am always excited for the ‘ back to school season’. People get back into routines and life seems to take on more of a focus…not that summer casual is bad!! We are super pumped to welcome the CBC students back to school and back to the campus. We appreciate all the college students that assist in the music, children’s and youth programs, and the office too.

This Sunday Becky, Jessie and some of the college students will be leading the worship. Let’s come expecting God to meet us as we sing together and lift up His name. The coffee and bagels will be on and ready so make sure you are on time to worship together.

I’m finishing up our sermon series titled, PRAY…..I hope that it’s been helpful and has assisted you in your communication with God.
We have looked at many aspects of prayer over the last few weeks and will conclude this series looking at ‘ Does Anything Happen When We Pray’. Come and find out !!

At the end of the service we will be joining together in communion…a very intimate and meaningful time as we remember the death and resurrection of Jesus.

*Sermon Series: PRAY*

Prayers aren’t empty words hurled into the sky. They’re conversations-in fact, they are the most important conversations of our lives.
Do we fully realize who we are having a conversation with? What happens if we feel that our conversation isn’t being heard? Does God speak back to us?
As we pray, what is supposed to happen? This series is all about our conversations with God and learning how to discern what He says.

This week in Kidzone we are starting a new series called “TruthLab Investigations” a 13-lesson adventure for children ages 4–11. The fun and excitement of a wacky research lab is combined with discoveries Dr. Luke—our Head Researcher—made into Jesus’ life. Through these stories, kids will discover what God says about each of us as His children.
