Well, whether you like it or not…welcome to December!!
There’s one thing that you have to know about me ..and that is I really like the Christmas season.
I have to…..’cause I’m married to Mrs Claus!! Cheryl just loves this time of the year!
I love the food at Christmas, all of the bright lights, giving and receiving presents…but most of all it’s a time to reflect on the real Christmas meaning.
This Sunday at Alderbrook we start our Christmas Advent. This is a time to prepare our hearts in worship and focus to remember what Christmas is all about.

Our message series for December is titled, “UNCOMPLICATING CHRISTMAS” and the first message centres around the advent theme of Hope. We will be looking at ‘Finding Hope in the Most Unusual Place’. Naturally, we will be referencing to the birth of Christ in the little obscure town of Bethlehem. But what about you? What about today? Our world keeps getting faster and more hurried. People are stressing and burning out? Where can we go and find true hope, peace and stillness in the busyness of life?
Its also Communion Sunday, so we will be celebrating the birth of Christ and remembering ‘the reason for the season’.
