Five days and counting!!
I’m sure that for some people Christmas can’t come soon enough..and for others I’m sure that you need more time, more cash, more patience…
you get the idea, right? A few days ago I was reading in Galatians 4:4-5 out of the Good News Bible.
“When the right time came, the time that God decided on, he sent his Son, born of a woman…so he could adopt us as his very own children”.
Now I realize that for some people stressing over the Christmas rush..that this verse really doesn’t help much.
Except, that in our rush we need to be reminded that Christmas is so much more than all the things we are running after and trying to accomplish.
Now I’m not suggesting we don’t do the grocery shop or leave some of the kids without presents, but to really focus on the special time of the season.
But what is so significant about Christmas? What is so important about this special time that God decided on?
What time is Christmas?
1. It’s a time to release my fear (Luke 2:10)
2. It’s a time to renew my faith (John 10:10)
3. It’s a time to extend and receive forgiveness (John 3:16)
4. It’s a time to reconnect and rebuild friendships (1 John 1:7)
We look forward to spending some time with you in church this Sunday and hope to see you at the Christmas Eve Carols and Candlelight service on December 24th (5-6pm)
