kamal-dhillon-03

Hello everyone,

Don’t you wish that every Sunday was Souper Sunday??

What a great event last week…wow…was the food ever amazing!!

We want to thank Nicole, plus everyone else that brought food for Souper Sunday. It was a great time to connect and get to know each other better.

I also heard that our Middle Schoolers (now called “Outlet”) had a great gym night on Sunday night…these guys rock!!

Would you remember to pray for all of our missionaries…check the page out on our website. Presently, Dave and Phyllis Rathjen are in Romania where temperatures have plummeted and snow was coming down. Please pray for them this week.

This Sunday is another “Super Sunday” ..but without the soups, chili’s, sandwiches, etc…its going to be great!!

We are pleased and so excited to have Kamal Dhillon with us as she shares her story and amazing testimony. In case you haven’t heard …Kamal is the author of the book, Black and Blue Sari, a personal story of her abuse and torment that she faced at the hands of her husband. After an arranged marriage into an influential and wealthy family, Kamal was thrown into a life of abuse, violence and torture. Afraid for her own life and the lives of her children she constantly looked death in the face, but through all the violence and fear ….she incredibly survived.

Don’t miss out this Sunday…..and make sure that you invite someone along with you this Sunday to Alderbrook to hear how this tragic situation was turned around and found hope!

See you at 10am this Sunday.

Pastor Glenn and Cheryl

*Sermon: Not a Fan … completely, committed, follower

Fan: an enthusiastic admirer. An intense observer.

In the Bible Jesus was never too interested in fans. He didn’t have time for those who jumped on and off the bandwagon of faith.

How do you view your relationship with Jesus Christ? What type of a follower are you? Join us for this next series as we look at how to

become a follower…not just a fan!!

 * Kids Zone Updates

This Sunday in the Yellow and Red Room our kids will be learning the parable of the lost sheep. That shepherd loved ALL his sheep and God loves us even more then that!
In the Orange room we have been looking at the who, what , and how of worship. Starting next Sunday our middle school kids will be joining everyone in the service for all the singing and praise and then going off for their own lesson.

 *BIG NEWS!*

We have a new name for our middle school ministry: Outlet Youth. Here at Alderbrook we want to see our youth getting plugged in. We want them involved in church;  getting plugged into fellowship, friendships, singing, and their relationship with God. Just as an outlet on your wall gets its energy sent to it and then gives it out, we want the students to know that they receive from God and then give that that same thing that they receive out into the world.
We are always looking for people to be a part of our Kidzone and Middle School ministries. If you would like to help out in any way, (teachers, greeters, set-up, helpers, and more) we would love to have you on our team.
If you would like to part of the Kidzone team or have any Kidzone question you can talk to Austin  Sunday morning or email him anytime at austintoews@me.com
