ACC September 23

Hi everyone,
it’s going to be a great Sunday at Alderbrook. It’s Souper Sunday!!
This is always such a highlight at church that everyone looks forward to…..because food one of the core values at ACC is food!!

This Sunday Gregg and the team will be leading the music/singing/worship. It’s always so good to gather together to proclaim and lift up the name of Jesus. Remember, there is prayer before church at 9:30am, right behind the sound/media booth. Why not join us?

We also want to continue our series that is titled REVEALED. This week we are going to loom at the story of Jonah (and the whale). It’s not a fable or a fairy tale and it is included in the Bible not just as a historical event; there is so much more!!
You will be surprised at what spiritual lessons that God wants to ‘reveal ‘ into our hearts this Sunday.

We have great Kidzone classes with Rebecca and Cassidy and a great Youth program with Jared and the team.

The coffee and bagels are on….and don’t forget Souper Sunday.

This Sunday at Kidzone

This week at Sunday school the Yellow Room leaned all about how Jesus feeds the 5,000 and that God will provide what we need. They had a worship time, played a few games, and made little baskets with some crackers in it. This week’s verse was Philippians 4:19 – ‘Our God who provides, gives us everything we need.”
In the red room, the kids learned about Jesus’ arrival and how John the baptist played a role in that. They were shown an experiment about baptism, and did a memorization activity. The verse this week for them is Luke 2:11  “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
Have a wonderful week! We will be praying for your kids that they will be God’s light in their classrooms and with their friends!
