January 13, 2019 || Alderbrook Church

Hello everyone,
Have you settled back into the routine of work, school and all of your other activities?
I love the Christmas holidays, but it always great to get back into a regular pace of life, right?
Actually, I’m glad that most of the Christmas chocolates are gone.. I was losing the battle on that one!!

This Sunday at Alderbrook Andrew Potts and the team will be leading the music/singing. Rebecca and Cassidy are preparing some great lessons for Kidzone and Jared and the youth staff are meeting Sundays nights with the youth. The coffee will be on and we look forward to seeing you at Alderbrook this Sunday morning.

We want to continue our sermon series, called ‘STORIES”…Everyone has a story; some good parts, some bad parts, some mediocre parts and some parts ‘that no one would ever believe?!? However, it’s our story and God wants to use it. This Sunday we are going to look at the topic of ‘What Happens When Your Story is Shaken?’. I have invited Nicole Hamm to share her story and what God has done in her life as a part of the message series.

This Sunday at Kidzone

Hello Parents! Happy 2019!

December was a bit of a crazy month for us in Kidzone with our talent show and doing different Christmas activities! We decided to take a break from our regular lessons, but have started up again this past Sunday, learning about the Shield of Faith. Our verse was Ephesians 6:16 – “In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”
Additionally, the kids made “flaming arrows” out of candy stick and Hershey’s kisses!
