Sunday, February 3 || Alderbrook Church

Hi everyone,

Welcome to February!!
It seemed that January just flew by, although the weather was simply phenomenal wasn’t it?
Just be glad that you don’t live in Eastern Canada!!

We have an action-packed, fuller than normal, exciting and inspiring Sunday coming up this weekend.
There’s a lot planned…which is usually what happens around ACC right?

First of all, its SOUPER SUNDAY at Alderbrook Church. I recognize that it’s also Super Bowl (Football) Sunday, but it will be taking a backseat to the great meal that will be provided at church!!
We have Souper Sunday for a very specific reason; yes, good food without any dishes is a great reason, but it’s so much more. It allows us as a church to sit together, enjoy a meal and just shoot the breeze over lunch.
Did I mention that the food is downright awesome??

This Sunday we will also be praying (and sending off) the Mexico Missions Team under the leadership of Walt and Sarah Siebert. Twenty-nine people are heading down to Casa De Luz, south of Tijuana for a week of ministry (Feb 10th-17th) and as a church we get to support them in prayer!
But wait, there’s more…it’s also Communion Sunday, which is a very special time to reflect and thank God for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.
And there’s more…I want to continue our message series titled, STORIES..Everyone Has A Story. This Sunday Chris Ryan will be sharing his personal story in the sermon/message. You will not want to miss hearing Chris’ story of God’s faithfulness through a time of deep brokenness and loss.

So, you see?Its an action-packed, exciting Sunday that you will not want to miss.

This last Sunday we had out first Sunday Funday of the year! We are wrapping up our Armour of God series that we have been doing over the last few months and we are excited for what God has in store for us! We didn’t do a memory verse this week, so the kids have another week to practice last week’s verse 🙂
