Hello everyone,
We’ve celebrated Mothers Day, and last week was Fathers Day…what’s next?
I know that for most of the kids, youth and college students…it’s called summer break!!
This Sunday will be an exciting one at Alderbrook Church.
First of all, we want to welcome ten (10) new people into church membership. Many people going to church today don’t even think about church membership…you don’t get food discounts at the local restaurants or a 20% discount to rotate your tires…sorry !
Why might church membership be important?
Here are just a few biblical benefits to church membership……
Luke 9:62,14:33 Membership is an expression of commitment to Christ
Hebrews 10:24-25 Membership provides you with a spiritual family to support and encourage you.
1 Corinthians 12:4-7 Membership gives you a place to discover and use your gifts
(and a whole lot more!!)
This Sunday, our daughter Cynthia’s father-in-law, Cary Chernoff will be speaking. It is so great to have Cary and Marla Chernoff at Alderbrook Church. As I’ve said many times…when Cynthia got married we just didn’t receive an awesome son-in-law, but God also threw two great ‘in-laws’ in as well….and now, both Cheryl/Glenn and Cary/Marla can hardly wait for grandbaby in November!!
I know that God has placed a special word on Cary’s heart to share with our church and you will not want to miss out.

Canada Day – June 30th @ ACC
Next Sunday we will have an outdoor service for Canada Day, so come dressing in red and white! We will have a picnic following the service, so sign up to bring a main dish, salad, or dessert.

As we are coming to the end of our Lord’s Prayer curriculum, the verse continues to be the whole Lord’s prayer. (Matthew 6:9-13).
