Wow, it’s the end of November!! This Sunday marks the first Sunday of Advent, signaling that Christmas is approaching soon. But we also realize that Christmas isn’t just presents, food, Christmas lights, and tinsel on the tree; there’s a deeper meaning.
The word ‘Advent’ means a season of ‘waiting and preparation’ for both the celebration of Jesus’ birth at Christmas, but also the anticipation of the return of Christ at the Second Coming. Celebration and Anticipation!!
We are starting our Advent Series titled “Longing for Hope”. In every one of us, there is a desire, or a longing for something that we hold onto, something hopeful. In Jesus, we can find satisfaction for our souls and the strength and courage to face life every single day.
This Sunday will be Baking Sunday, which is always a treat. We have some awesome bakers in our church, and there are no calories on Sundays!!

Currently, in Kidzone, we are working through a 5-week series titled Heroes of the Nativity. This Sunday, we will be learning about the wise men and how they were guided by God while they searched for baby Jesus. Their story teaches us that when we genuinely search for God in our lives and ask Him to guide our steps, He will lead us right to Him. It’s through this earnest seeking that we can experience the love of Jesus, and when we find Him, like the Wise Men, we will be filled with joy.
