At Alderbrook Church we’ve been having lots of fun with the 13 Days of Summer.
Each week we have featured a fun activity for the whole church …we hope that you are enjoying them!! I know that I sure have.
This week at ACC is week #10…wow the summer is moving quickly isn’t it? Time seems to fly by when you’re having fun huh?
Right after church this Sunday we will be having Carnival Sunday…with lots of great games and activities for everyone to participate. There will be a large Slip n Slide (***make sure to bring your bathing suit) as well as a Dunk Tank, plus games like Ring Toss and a bunch of others…. not just for the kids but for adults too.
We will also be having Hot Dogs…so come with a big appetite!!
This Sunday at church we want to continue our series called FOCUS. The premise of this sermon series is that we tend to holiday or take things easy in the summer (which is good), but we never take a vacation from our faith.
We need to focus on our faith 24/7 and 365 days a year. This Sunday we are going to look at what does it mean to ‘focus on being a follower of Christ? What does it mean to focus on Jesus with all of our heart, our soul and our mind.

Middle School
This week we will be meeting outside after coffee 4:59 to watch and discuss episode 2 of the series “Skate It Off.” In episode 2 we will be discussing discipline. Discipline is doing what you need to do now, to get the results you want to get. Look at what it says in Hebrews;
Hebrews 12:11 NCV.
We do not enjoy being disciplined. It is painful at the time, but later, after
we have learned from it, we have peace, because we start living in the
right way.
Discipline’s not always fun. Sometimes it can be hard, but it builds
godly character and helps you become who God has created you to be.
Summer Events
Our next event is our Beach Day at Hayward Lake on Saturday, August 20th, from 10am-2pm. Lunch and games will be provided. Bring beach gear and whatever snacks you may want to share. If you need a ride or directions don’t hesitate to ask Hanna or Joel. Hope to see you all out!!!
