This is going to be an awesome Sunday at ACC….you don’t want to miss it.
We are so excited to have the TWU (Trinity Western University) worship team back with us again at Alderbrook Church. If you remember, the team from Trinity U came back in September and the place rocked!
This is a group of young students that are pretty passionate about music and leading people into the presence of God.
Come anticipating great things this Sunday as we come together and spend time together.
This Sunday is also our Mexico Missions Team luncheon (its a fundraiser for our outreach in Casa De Luz). This February we will be sending 25 people from Alderbrook down to Mexico to share and spread the love of Jesus in many tangible and practical ways. You will get to meet the team, pray for the team and hear all about what God has been doing through the ACC teams that have been going to Casa De Luz over the past three years. We have a number of teenagers and young people travelling on this trip…isn’t that exciting?!!
It is also a real privilege to introduce our guest speaker this Sunday…whose not really a guest…so we will call him our ‘special speaker’. Chris Ryan will be sharing this Sunday in church and I know that you will not want to miss this Sunday, even if its only to hear the message. For those of you that don’t know, Chris lost his beloved wife Heather this past fall after her long and difficult struggle with cancer. There was (and continues) to be incredible support for Chris (and his two step-daughters) from the church, and so Chris wants to share his story and his journey with ACC. As I watched Chris and the girls walk through this painful experience as his pastor and friend, I can honestly say that I was humbled by the way that Chris leaned on God and also his church here at Alderbrook. Make sure that you come out this Sunday…and why not bring a family member or friend to church to hear Chris’ story.
