Glenn & Cheryl Embree

Lead Pastor

Glenn and Cheryl have pastored Alderbrook Church since 2006, they have also pastored churches in Vancouver, California, Nevada, and Arizona. They have four incredible and awesome kids, Cynthia and her husband Nathan, Gregg, Derek and his wife Angela, and Jared and his wife Cassidy, as well as four grandchildren, two princesses named Livinia and Izadora, and two handsome grandsons named Ivander and Beckett. Glenn and Cheryl love traveling with their kids and enjoy a great cup of coffee at Starbucks. One of their favorite Bible verses is Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus”

Walt Siebert

Leadership Team

Walt has been attending Alderbrook Church since it first opened in 2001. He works in the aviation industry as an AME for a helicopter maintenance facility and enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, mountain biking, boating, and gardening.

Raphael Hamm

Leadership Team

Raphael has been at Alderbrook Church since 2008 and has been a part of the Church staff since 2017. He works as an engineer and he and his wife Nicole have three kids. Raphael enjoys playing with cars and motorcycles, as well as designing and making things in his shop.

Vic Kaay

Leadership Team

Vic began attending Alderbrook Church in 2006. He has been working as a heavy-duty mechanic for 30 years. Vic is married and has two daughters. In his free time, he likes to go fishing and work on cars.

Ruth Redekop

Leadership Team

Ruth has been at Alderbrook Church since 2002. She works as an office administrator for her brother’s dump truck company in downtown Abbotsford. She has two children, a daughter, and a son, and is part of a large family which includes her four brothers. Ruth enjoys traveling, reading, watching TV, sleeping, and hanging out with friends and family.

Grant Brittain

Youth Pastor

Grant has been serving in ministry for over 30 years, working primarily with small churches, along with several medium-sized congregations and outreach youth ministries across British Columbia.

Grant recently celebrated his 28th wedding anniversary with his wife. They have 3 amazing sons, 2 beautiful daughters in law & of course one awesome grandaughter!

Outside of ministry, Grant enjoys playing and coaching pickleball, thrifting for hidden treasures, and air-banding to classic rock hits—though not necessarily all at the same time!

Grant brings a wealth of experience, energy, and enthusiasm to his ministry, helping youth and families connect, grow in their faith, and live God-centered lives that make a lasting impact in their communities & beyond.

Brendan Hamm

College Director

Brendan started attending ACC in 2010. He is working his way through trade school and plans to earn his Red Seal in automotive mechanics. His favourite Bible verse is Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil for you are with me, your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

Caity Jacklin

College Staff

Caity has been attending Alderbrook since last year. She is currently completing BA in Practical Theology with a focus on youth work at Columbia Bible College. Her favourite Bible verse is Romans 8:38-39, “And I’m convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” 

Madeline Moore

Kidzone Director

Maddie has been coming to Alderbrook with her family since 2019, and just recently began working as the Kidzone director. She is currently studying Psychology at the University of the Fraser Valley. One of her favourite verses is Deuteronomy 31:8 “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Brayden Lode

Administrative Assistant

Brayden has been attending ACC since 2009 and has been involved in various aspects of the church for a few years now. Brayden is currently studying Computing Science at the University of the Fraser Valley. He enjoys hanging out with friends, watching movies, and playing video games. A bible verse that speaks to him is 2 Corinthians 4:8, “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”
