Hello everyone,
I trust that you had a great Thanksgiving!!
I am always amazed at how many things God has blessed us with…and also amazed at the amount of food my boys can pack away at the Thanksgiving meal. For those of you at ACC who have younger boys…just get ready…food just disappears!!
This Sunday at Alderbrook is Missions Sunday. Please remember to pray for all of our ACC missionaries. We are so blessed to be able to partner with such incredible ministries and outreach : Dave and Phyllis Rathjen, Sheldon and Julie Kotyk, David and Shirley McLauren, Lorri and Randy Sawatsky, Kris and Paulette Baker and Andrew and Michelle Potts. In fact, it’s the Potts wedding anniversary this weekend…why not send them an email and bless them? We will also be receiving a second offering for our missions endeavours.
We also have our Mexico Missions team putting on a great fundraiser on Sunday October 27th. During the service we will be hearing how we as a church can partner with and support this team. Then, right after church the Mexico team will be hosting a ‘Mexican lunch’…I hope there’s a mariachi band!! This is a fundraising lunch so why not not stay and support the team. There will also be a Silent Auction ..with some really cool stuff…so bring your cheque book, ‘ cause it’s all going to a great cause…a construction project at Casa de Luz.
Finally, This Sunday I want to conclude our series “Not A Fan” with a message titled, ” Out of the Stands and Onto the Field”. Could you imagine if every athlete had a lifetime goal to just sit in the stands and watch? Can you imagine all the training, hard work and sweat just to sit and observe? Why should we as believers think differently? This week will be a challenging message to come down onto the playing field and to be involved in the plan that God has destined for our lives.
See you Sunday.

*Sermon: Not a Fan … completely, committed, follower
Fan: an enthusiastic admirer. An intense observer.
In the Bible Jesus was never too interested in fans. He didn’t have time for those who jumped on and off the bandwagon of faith.
How do you view your relationship with Jesus Christ? What type of a follower are you? Join us for this next series as we look at how to
become a follower…not just a fan!!

MY Story: Living The Story You Want To Tell
Every day our lives tell a story. In fact, every one of us has a story to tell. Often people know who we are by what we do and what we say. The decisions that we make on a daily basis all determine and make up our life story. How is your life story being told?
Nov 3rd What happens when my story is shaken?
Nov 10th This changes everything!
Nov 17th When the story takes a turn.
Nov 24th How to tell your story
* Kids Zone Updates
Now that Thanksgiving we can move on to Christmas, right? I’m sure some of you keep it under wrap as long as you can but I cannot wait to start playing Christmas music.
The past month we have been using a curriculum from Gospel Light that the kids as well as the leader seem to really enjoy. They have been exploring the parables that Jesus taught with this week being the good Samaritan. This is one that everyone knows but has so much meaning and truth.
We are always looking for people to be a part of our Kidzone and Middle School ministries. If you would like to help out in any way, (teachers, greeters, set-up, helpers, and more) we would love to have you on our team. If you would like to part of the Kidzone team or have any Kidzone question you can talk to Austin on Sunday morning or email him anytime at austintoews@me.com
