Thanks for collecting quarters!

Hello everyone,

I hope you are having a great week!

This Sunday at Alderbrook falls during the Remembrance Day weekend. I am so thankful that we live in freedom in such a beautiful country called Canada. As we gather together this weekend my prayer is that we are reminded of all God’s blessings on our lives. May we continually be aware of how fortunate and blessed we are and of God’s great provision to us as Canadians.

Frank Sawatsky and the music team will be leading us in singing and in worship this weekend. I just love the time we have each week to gather together and to praise God! It is so exciting and thrilling to come together as God’s people just simply to tell Him how awesome and wonderful He is! We are going to restart our ‘pre-service prayer’ at 9:45am each Sunday. Why not come a few minutes early to the Orange Room, bring the children..and lets pray together as a church for each other?

This Sunday we will also be serving communion at the end of the service. This is such a special and meaningful time, especially as we remember the greatest sacrifice of all that Jesus made on our behalf! You will not want to miss this time!!
I will be continuing our series called, My Story…Living the Story You Want to Tell. God has given each one of us a story…no matter what age you are, how long you’ve been going to church, or whatever your background or lifestyle has been..God is writing a story in your life that only you can share. This Sunday we will be looking at the title, “This Changes Everything”

Every day our lives tell a story. In fact, every one of us has a story to tell. Often people know who we are by what we do and what we say. The decisions that we make on a daily basis all determine and make up our life story. How is your life story being told?
Nov 3rd What happens when my story is shaken?

* Kids Zone Updates

Our children’s ministry is having a quarter drive for the month of November.  All the money that is raise will be going to help feed children around the world. The Quarter Drive for International Children’s Day will continue until the end of November. Keep collecting those quarters! 25 cents can give a child a nutritious meal.
This Sunday the kids will be hearing the parable about the great banquet. Just the the man man who invited everyone to his banquet, we all have an invitation to be in a relationship with God. It is up to us to make the decision.

Outlet Youth

On Sundays, we are talking about Jesus when he was twelve. The same age as some of our middle school youth. We are in a series that is dissecting seven words that Jesus said in his teens: “I must be about my fathers business”.
