Hi everyone,
Its only a few more weeks before school starts. Where did the summer go?
Will you be praying with me for the two sides of the BC Education Dispute, that both parties, our government and our BC teachers union, will come in agreement so that public school will start in September.
We have an exciting Sunday in store this weekend….
Pastor Austin just finished the Alderbrook Vacation Bible School…and what a great event!! This Sunday during church the kids will be sharing what they learned and some of the activities that they were involved in…I can hardly wait to see!!
We will also be highlighting Missions Sunday at ACC. We are so blessed to have our Alderbrook missionaries with us. Would you pray on a regular basis for these great people? I value and appreciate these incredible people, and the best part, is that we get to partner with them literally around the world….wow!!

Finally, this Sunday I want to continue my summer series titled, Refresh. It’s a series from the book of Psalms and this week we are going to look at the topic, ‘Learning How to Rest’ (Psalm 63). I believe that most of us would like to get more rest, have a more balanced life schedule, etc, etc……but many are finding it tough with all of the commitments we have. Let’s see what the Bible has to say about finding our rest in God in a busy, hectic world.
See you on Sunday,
Pastor Glenn and Cheryl
*New Sermon Series: “Refresh”
The summer months can get warm and most of us just want to relax, stay out of the heat and get REFRESHED.
Whether it is a glass of ice cold lemonade, the shade of a tree or some air conditioning, we look for some relief from the heat.
The Bible tells us how we can be refreshed. Join us for our sermon series in August out of the book of Psalms.
Aug 10th Finding Real Contentment (Psalm 23)
Aug 17th Learning How to Rest (Psalm 63)
Aug 31st Staying Close to God During Trouble (Psalm 68)
What a great weekend at VBS! We will give an update this Sunday and show you what the kids got to experience. Come check out the Kidzone hallway this Sunday. It looks pretty great. Becca built a boat!
This Sunday is all about God’s love. The kid’s will look at 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.” God’s love is the greatest treasure of all!
