Happy Thanksgiving!! I have always loved this holiday. I enjoy the food, the family and pumpkin pie. I also love this weekend because its our wedding anniversary. Yup, Cheryl married a turkey!!
What are you thankful for? It sounds so cliche’ to be thankful at Thanksgiving, but being thankful is actually a spiritual discipline that the Bible encourages us to practice. Why not look through the Bible and see the number of times we are exhorted, challenged and reminded “to be thankful”. In fact, take a moment this weekend just to think about all of the things that you can be thankful for. Your children, your job, your freedom, your faith…the list can grow pretty large!!
This Sunday, Cal and Chrissy Krahn and the team will be leading the singing and worship. It is also communion Sunday so at the end of the service, we will have time to reflect, worship, praise and “give thanks” for the incredible love that Jesus demonstrated to us. Its going to be a great Sunday as we get together as a church family.
I am so thankful for you!! Have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you in church this Sunday.
