I hope that you had a great long weekend! Wasn’t the weather great?
Most people that I talked to all respond the same way….when is the next long weekend?
Whether you were away with your family last weekend or you were in church…we look forward to seeing you again this Sunday at Alderbrook.
There are some exciting things happening this weekend. First of all, did you know that we are sending a second team to Casa De Luz in Mexico in July? This Sunday we are having a Mexican lunch right after church (by donation with all proceeds going towards the outreach). Clay and Jeannine are leading the team and this Sunday we all get to be a part of this missions outreach by praying for and supporting these endeavors. I am so thrilled to see so many people in our church participating on a missions trip…while others that cannot go are faithful to support in prayer and finances. It sure is exciting to watch what God is up to!!
This Sunday, Pastor Austin and the Kidzone team are going to show a video about how people can get involved in our Kidzone programs at ACC. We have such a great privilege and a responsibility to teach and disciple the children that come to Kidzone every Sunday. Why not prayerfully consider your part and how you can be involved in coming alongside the children of Alderbrook. You will be making a lifetime (and an eternal) difference!!
This Sunday I also want to continue the new series that I started last week that is titled, “STAND”. This Sunday we are going to look at how we can “stand…and increase our faith”. Did you know that we receive Christ, by faith into our lives….but that the element of faith is not a one time event or to be dormant for the rest of our lives. Our faith is meant to grow and to increase so that God will use us and move us in areas according to His plan.
See you on Sunday,
Pastor Glenn and Cheryl
This Sunday’s daily mission is ‘trust in God’. Learning that When we are afraid or worried, we can trust in God to help us! “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.” John 14:1
