Hello everyone,
We hope that you had an awesome long weekend. Some were travelling and vacationing…and if you were away you sure missed out on an awesome message by Pastor Austin. He spoke on dealing with discouragement from the book of Nehemiah. Why not read through some of the passages this week and be encouraged by the Word of God.
This Sunday we have some of the CBC students leading the music and singing. Becky and Jessie, along with some of the Columbia students are going to be leading us into the presence of the Lord. I am so thankful for the CBC students. Do you know that in a few weeks they will all be back? I can hardly wait!!
This Sunday my favorite speaker will be sharing at ACC. My bride, Cheryl will be bringing the message and I am so excited what God has laid on her heart to share with our church. I get the privilege of watching her get up early (or stay up late) with her open Bible and notebook ready to hear and listen to God. I’ve got first-hand knowledge that she is carefully listening to the Spirit of God for the word that our church needs to hear this Sunday. Come expecting to receive great encouragement from God this Sunday.
We are also excited to have the Mexico Missions Team back from Casa De Luz (Clay and Jeannine Lode). I heard great things were happening on the trip and we can hardly wait to hear some of the exciting stories. Speaking about Missions…we are already ramping up for our fall/spring ACC trips. Here are a few to pray about….

**New Sermon Series: PRAY**
Prayers aren’t empty words hurled into the sky. They’re conversations-in fact, they are the most important conversations of our lives.
Do we fully realize who we are having a conversation with? What happens if we feel that our conversation isn’t being heard? Does God speak back to us?
As we pray, what is supposed to happen? This series is all about our conversations with God and learning how to discern what He says.
August is here! Only one more month left of summer. 🙁
Coming up on the 14th of August we have a Kids Day camp in the planning. It is going to be similar to our VBS that we did in July carrying on the science theme. There will be singing, games, bible story, and fun experiments. There are no registration forms for these days but I always like to get somewhat of an idea of how many people are interested.
Please let me know if you are planning on sending your kids to any of these dates.
