What a great Sunday we had last week!!
Wasn’t it an incredible day at Alderbrook Church? The band did such an awesome job leading us in worship and praise…and I can’t stop singing that song, ‘Holy Spirit you are welcome here’….it was so neat to be able to sing and pray over all the students, from the youngest kids through to the middle school, highschool, college students and even the teachers!! Remember to keep praying for all of our ACC students and educators!!

This Sunday is “International FoodFest”…which is actually Souper Sunday, but in a bigger way. We want people to bring food from their country of birth…or a food they really like. I was born in Kelowna,BC…. so does pizza and nacho’s count? (They are my favorite). I know that my wife is rolling her eyes in disbelief again!! Its going to be a great day of food so come prepared to feast together!

We are also excited to have a music/worship band from TWU (Trinity Western University) lead us in worship. Its going to be great.
Its also Name Tag Sunday at ACC….so rather than saying “hey you”…you can put a name to a face.

I want to start a brand new series called “Outlasters”. I know that the title seems a little strange but it makes a lot of sense. Briefly, going through life we usually look to the immediate…but God wants us to look at the eternal. How will you live your life …for the temporal and the immediate or for the future and for eternity? This Sunday we start in Genesis 24 looking at the biblical account of Abraham with a message that is titled, “Moving Forward To My Destiny”. God has placed something unique in all of us…let’s move towards it.

Finally, I want to thank everyone who assisted at Heather Ryan’s memorial service last Sunday or brought food. You did a terrific job of showing God’s love to all of Chris/Heathers family and friends! I was so proud of our church!

This week in Kidzone we are starting in a series called “TruthLab Investigations” a 13-lesson adventure for children ages 4–11. The fun and excitement of a wacky research lab is combined with discoveries Dr. Luke—our Head Researcher—made into Jesus’ life. Through these stories, kids will discover what God says about each of us as His children.
This Sunday kids will be looking at one of Jesus’ BIG miracles to discover that God says He will not leave me. I am never alone. “God has said, ‘I will never leave you. I will never desert you.’” Hebrews 13:5

Middle School Students meet Sunday mornings after coffee 4:59 below the chapel at CBC

High School Students meet  Wednesday nights from 7-8:30pm at CBC below the auditorium

Evening Events  For BOTH middle and hight school students, the last Wednesday night of each month we have a BIG youth event.  We invite all our students to join us as we have a different special event planned for each month
 
This month (September 30th) we are going to Chilliwack Corn Maze! Meeting at CBC at 6pm, planning to be back at CBC by 9pm. Cost is $10. Come dressed for the weather!
