Hello everyone,
The month of November seems to be flying by….doesn’t it?
I have always looked forward to Christmas and the holidays, but every year it seems to come even faster.
This Sunday at Alderbook, Gregg and the team will be leading us in singing and in worship. Have you ever thought about why we sing every Sunday at church? When you go to any church, for that matter, why do people sing? If you’ve ever had that question or wondered what this is all about …we hope to have a great answer for you this Sunday.
I want to finish off our series called FIGHT this weekend. I hope that you have been enjoying the series and that God’s Word has come alive during this teaching. We have already looked at a number of key and important topics, such as last week, ‘Safeguarding our sexuality’. Again, there are just some battles in life that we have to win… and they are the battles that matter the most!!
This Sunday we look at the topic of “Fighting the Right Person”. The enemy is not our spouse, our hockey coach, our boss or the economy…come and find out who is the enemy and how we are supposed to fight him. When we are going through struggles, problems and uncertainties in life..it is important to make sure we fight the right person…and win those battles!!
The coffee and bagels will also be on, and the reason that we do this is so that we can get to know one another better (and support each other in our faith).
We will also be introducing nine (9) people that have come into membership at Alderbrook. If you’re wondering what is so important about church membership…you might learn another thing this Sunday too.
