ACC @ CBC September 4, 2016

It’s the weekend that all students/teachers mostly dread…and parents are so excited that Labour Day is finally here!!
We had a great summer at ACC..especially with the 13 Days of Summer. Maybe we should be working on the 12 Days of Christmas!! After all there are only 116 days until Christmas!! Whoa…let’s celebrate Thanksgiving first, right?

This Sunday at ACC we are starting our fall season. Gregg and the team will be leading in worship. Plus, it’s Communion Sunday, a time when we slow things down a bit and remember the sacrifice and gift of love that Jesus gave each one of us by going to the cross. It never gets old, and it should never get stale: let’s prepare our hearts, our mind and especially our souls as we remember the greatest gift of all: our salvation.

We want to start a new Fall series that is titled, Faith..Now What?!? There are many people that have “faith or a relationship with Jesus”…but they have no idea what to do with it. Some think that having faith means displaying poverty, or doing missionary work in Africa. But what does it mean for us? The Bible says in 1 Peter 1:5 that we are to “make every effort to add to our faith…”. What does that look like? What are we supposed to add? What are we to focus on? Come find out this Sunday!!

We look forward to seeing you at ACC on Sunday,
Pastor Glenn and Cheryl

p.s.  Mark your calendars for next Sunday..our Fall Kick off at ACC (Sunday September 11th, 2016 on the CBC Campus)
Souper Sunday, Hamburgers, Face Painting, Carnival Games, Slip n Slide, JumpHouse, Dunk Tank and much much more

MIDDLE SCHOOL

This week Middle School Students will be in the service. They will be serving the congregation communion. We think that it is very important for our youth to be interacting and involved in our church family.

Please pray for our Middle and High School Students as they prepare to go back to school. If you don’t know them very well, please feel free to go and say hello and ask them if they would like you to pray for them in their first week back to school!

High School Students

Our High School youth kick-off will be at the church on Wednesday, September 14th. Drop off is at 7:00 and pick-up will be at 8:30. We are looking forward to another year filled with fun and spiritual growth.

September

We have our Lindeman Lake hike on Saturday, September 10th. We will be meeting at the church at 8am for an awesome day in Gods creation. Pack a lunch and plenty of water. If you are brave enough to go in the glacier water bring along a swim suitWe will be returning back to the church for 4 pm

Lindeman Lake is a small lake in Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park.

Located at the end of a 3.4 km trail, it is a popular hiking destination. Lindeman lake can be found by driving 40.5 km from Vedder Crossing along Chilliwack Lake road. It is a moderate hike so also wear appropriate footwear.

We will be in need of a couple people to drive as well as participate in the hike. If you are able to do  this please contact Joel and Hanna at joelandhanna@outlook.com.
