I hope that you had a great week and that you are into the fall routine.

This Sunday at Alderbrook we want to continue our fall vision series …yes, I’m talking about the one with the ‘really long title’!!
Yup, I couldn’t think of anything shorter….here it is again, in case you missed it last week.
We are looking the “The Five (5) Most Important Things We Do At Alderbrook Church…And Why”.
Last week we looked at why we sing, praise and worship…. this Sunday we are going to look at why its so important to “believe, but also belong”.
Sadly, a lot of people just walk into church, hear some great music and listen to an awesome service ..and then head right back into the parking lot.
At Alderbrook we are going to look at why it’s so important (according to the Bible), that we need to believe in God, but be connected to the church (God’s family)
The bagels and coffee are on….we can’t wait….

Cyrus Center Cooking – On Friday September 20th, there will be cooking for the Cyrus Center at the Sieberts @ 7pm.
Fall Souper Sunday – Our next Souper Sunday is coming up! It will be on September 22nd – so bring a food item to share and stick around after the service for some lunch!
Membership Class – If you are interested in becoming a member at ACC why not join us for the vision class on Tuesday, September 24th at 7pm. Use a Connection Card to sign up
Fall Annual General Meeting – Sunday, October 6th right after church.
CBC Music Team – On October 20th, the music team from CBC will be joining us to lead worship!

Last Sunday, our kids learned about how God gave Adam and Eve a specific job to take care of the Garden of Eden and everything in it. We have to respect God and his creations.
The verse is, “And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.” Gen. 2:15, KJV
