ACC December 3, 2017

Hi everyone,

We turned the corner and have arrived in the month of December. Most people are singing that “Santa Claus is coming to town”.  I would rather be focusing on the fact that “Jesus came to town”… in fact, a little town called Bethlehem.

I enjoy the Christmas season a lot…sure it’s nice to put up the lights, receive some presents and enjoy connecting with family and friends.
However, I think that the most significant thing about this season is that Jesus Christ came to the world, because we needed a Savior.

This Sunday Gregg and the team will be leading us in worship and singing. It’s also the first Sunday of Advent where we remember that Christ came to this earth.. Emmanuel, God with us!!

It is also communion Sunday, so we will not only remember Christ’s birth, but recognize and remember Christ’s death which provides us salvation.

I want to start a new series called “Re-Think Christmas”. It’s always good just to take a step back and recalibrate what the Christmas is all about and the significant meaning of the birth, life and death of Christ.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

Pastor Glenn and Cheryl
