Sunday, November 28 || Alderbrook Church

Hello everyone,

These past few weeks have been such a difficult time for a lot of residents of Abbotsford living on the Sumas flats; as well as for many parts of B.C. such as Merritt and other communities that have been isolated through the many road closures.

We want to remind you that we are collecting non-perishable food items for the Abbotsford Food Bank.

Last week we had an update on what’s been happening at Casa De Luz and how we as a church can continue to support this outreach even though we aren’t sending a missions team. You can purchase a CDL gift box (www.casadeluzmexico.com) and the proceeds go towards the feeding and education programs there in Primo Tapia.

This week we start our Advent series… yes, Christmas is coming up quickly. We will be starting an Advent Series titled, “The Weary World Rejoices” as we look at ‘Finding Hope in the Most Unusual Places’ this Sunday.

If you are away or unable to attend church, why not login through Zoom and attend church by clicking the link below:

Also, why not mark your calendars and set your schedule to attend the ACC Christmas Eve Service on Friday, December 24th from 5-6pm. An incredible night recapturing the true meaning of Christmas!!

See you this Sunday,

Pastor Glenn and Cheryl

Matthew 2:1, 2 “After Jesus was born in Bethlehem…Magi from the east came to
Jerusalem and asked, ‘Where is the one who has been born king of the
Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.'”

Matthew 2:3 “When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all of Jerusalem
                          with him.”

Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

2. You can find hope when you ______________________________.

Matthew 2:9 “After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they
had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where
                  the child was.”

John 6:44 “(Jesus) No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him…”

Matthew 2:10-11 “When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.” On coming to the

3. You can find hope when you _______________________________.

Matthew 2:11 “On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh”.
