Wasn’t it a great Souper Sunday last week? I’m talking about the Alderbrook “Soup, Chili and Desssert”…it was awesome!! So much great food.Thank you to everyone who brought tons of food. It was delicious! The other ‘Super Sunday’, also known as the Super Bowl wasn’t as great, especially if you were cheering for the Seattle Seahawks. It was a tough loss in a very close game.A friend of mine posted an interesting quote on facebook…(I’m still laughing). Pete Carroll, head coach of the Seahawks and the one taking responsibility for the ill-fated call that lost the game, was asked by his wife if he wanted to go out for a run to cheer him up. To which he replied, “No thanks honey…I think I’ll pass!”

Let’s move on….
This Sunday we have 26 people that are on their way to Casa De Luz in Mexico on the Alderbrook Mexico Missions Team. Would you be praying for everyone that is going that God will protect, anoint and use all of us that are going. I am so excited about this team because there are adults, teenagers and children going on this outreach. Pray for Walt and Sarah Siebert as they give leadership to this team. On a personal note, I get to hang out with my 16 year old, Jared and do missions together…it doesn’t get better!!

This Sunday we are pleased to have one of the music teams from MEI highschool leading the music. I am so excited that they are able to come and we are so blessed to partner with the school. We are one of 13 sponsoring churches of MEI…which means that we should be praying, partnering and receiving from the school. Why not invite someone out to church this Sunday? The music will be great!!

As I mentioned, I will be away with the Mexico team, so David MClauren will be sharing and bringing an inspirational message from the word of God.

May God bless you this week as you represent Jesus wherever you go and whatever you do!!

In Kidzone we are in the middle of our series called ‘Journey With Jesus’ and discovering where Jesus went, what Jesus taught and how it is relevant today.

This Sunday, Jesus is in Bethsaida and we see that Jesus can meet our needs in ways that are immeasurable! “My God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” PHILIPPIANS 4:19
Ask your kids this Sunday what Jesus did in Bethsaida!
The Red Room is learning all the books of the Bible!  Listen to the song, “Books of the Bible,” and practice at home.
