Did you survive Valentine’s Day? Yup, maybe some of you forgot to get the flowers and chocolates (and are now in the doghouse). For me, I always struggle around what to write in Cheryl’s card. I know there’s the regular ‘I love you stuff’, but Cheryl always articulates so much in her cards to me, that I feel so inadequate. Guys, do I get an amen?!!
We have an action packed Sunday planned at Alderbrook. The Mexico Missions Team is back and we are going to hear stories and testimonies from the team members about some of the great things that God did during our time in Mexico. Maybe, Chris and Vic will show all of us their ‘Mexican cartwheels”!! If they don’t… just ask the Sieberts for the video…all proceeds will go to Missions!! (lol). We had an incredible team of adults, youth and kids who ministered as a team and we saw some incredible things take place. You will not want to miss this Sunday!!
We will also be praying for the Fiji Team that will be heading to the Fiji Islands to construct a brand new church. I am so excited to see what God is going to do through this team. We will be having an Ice Cream fundraiser after church to support this building project. We all love ice cream and it’s for an incredible cause of providing a church facility for this village in Fiji. Isn’t it great to partner what God is doing?
This Sunday I want to start a brand new series called Breaking Free. Do you ever feel trapped, snagged or feel like you are spinning your wheels? This Sunday we are going to start with a message titled, Breaking Free from Inadequacy. Whether your spouse writes better valentines messages or you winder if God could ever use you…..this message is for you.God wants us to live differently..to be free and to live the way that He intended for us. This Sunday we will explore what living in freedom is really like.

At alder brook church we believe in creating an atmosphere filed with fun, laughter and the presence of God. Allie and the children leaders have designed a program to attract the hears of children so that they want to come back every week to meet with God and Learn about Him, in a creative and sometimes messy ways.

High School Youth
We will be continuing on with session 4 FAITH of Youth Alpha this Sunday at the Hutchison’s from 5:30-7:30pm. We are really encouraging the youth to bring friends and would love it if the parents would also help encourage this.
Middle School Youth
This Sunday Luke will be sharing a devotional as well as regular games, fun and candy. Next week we will be starting a new series with the youth.
