Hello everyone,
Happy Valentine’s weekend!!
We have been focusing on one specific premise at Alderbrook Church over the last six weeks. This is my prayer and I hope that it is yours too: “I pray that my relationship with God gets even better in 2022.”
Have you ever considered what could happen if we focused our lives completely on God and his daily presence in our lives? Could you stop and imagine what God can do in you and through you over this next year? If God is our Saviour and our Lord…and we know that He has everything under control…what could potentially take place in your personal life or family life for His purpose and glory?
This Sunday we are finishing up our ‘Best Year Yet’ Series,’ as we look at “Moving Forward into My Destiny.”
We will also be focusing on Kidzone with Cassidy Hutchison and the incredible things that are happening every Sunday and what is planned for this summer.
If you cannot attend church this Sunday, why not join online through our Zoom stream.

Remember…2022 could be your ‘best year yet.’

February 13th ~ Best Year Yet, Moving Forward into My Destiny by Glenn Embree
Romans 8:14 “When everything was hopeless, Abraham believed anyway, deciding
to live not on the basis of what he couldn’t do but on what God said
he would do.”
To keep moving towards my destiny I must…. (Genesis 24)
1. _______________ my life to see what needs to __________________________.
Genesis 24:1 “Abraham was now old and well advanced in years, and the Lord blessed him in every way.”
2. ______________ my goal clearly in my _________________________________.
Genesis 24:4 (Abraham to Eliazar) “ …go to my country and my own relatives and get a wife for my son Isaac.”
3. Claim a personal ________________________ in the Bible.
Genesis 24:7 “The Lord..spoke to me and promised me saying ‘To your offspring I will give this land…”
4. ________________ my motives for the ____________________ I have set.
Genesis 24:7 “….so that you can get a wife for my son there.”
James 4:2-3 (NVC) “..You do not get what you want, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with the wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasure.”
5. ____________________ turn my goals into ___________________________.
Genesis 24:12 “Then he prayed, ’O Lord, God of my master Abraham, give me success today…’”
Mark 11:24 (Msg) “Jesus: ‘That’s why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything.'”
6. _______________________ about the __________________ I might face.
Genesis 24:5-6 “The servant asked him,’ What if the woman is unwilling to come back with me to this land? Shall I then take your son back to the country you came from? Make sure that you do not take my son back there’, Abraham said.”
7. ____________________ a systematic plan to see ____________________________.
Genesis 24:14 “May it be that when I say to a girl, ’Please let down your jar that I may have a drink,’ and she says, ‘ Drink, and I’ll water your camels too’ – let her be the one you have chosen for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.'”
8. Daily _________________________ myself to reach my goals.
- ______________________ vs 21 “…watched her closely…”
- ______________________ vs 33 “…I will not eat until…”
- ______________________vs 49 “…tell me…”
- ______________________vs 56 “…do not detain me…”
9. Give ___________________________ before I expect a _________________________.
Genesis 24:53,58 “Then the servant brought out gold and silver and articles of clothing and gave them to Rebekah; he also gave costly gifts to her brother and mother…Rebekah said, ‘I will go.'”
10. _______________________ with others as I move towards my destiny.
Genesis 24:54 “Then he and the men who were with him ate and drank and spent the night there.”
John 14:12 (NLT) Jesus: “The truth is, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.”
