It’s getting closer to Christmas!!

This Sunday we could actually sing the “12 days of Christmas” and use the song as a countdown. Maybe we will have an action song, bring in a couple “leaping ladies, maids a-milking and some drummers-drumming”
Okay I know I’m letting my imagination run wild..but it sure would be fun!!

This Sunday we have a number of CBC students leading the Christmas carols and worship. Would you remember to pray for all of our college students as they write their final exams and then head home for Christmas?
I deeply appreciate all of the students and their assistance in the music, Kidzone, Middle and Highschool…as well as the office. They are a gift to the church!!
This Sunday we also want to remind everyone that Pastor Austin and Becca’s farewell will be on Sunday December 20th (along with a Christmas Souper Sunday). Austin and Becca will only be in town until Dec 27th or 28th, so why not write them a note, send them an email, grab a gift card and just express your thanks for the investment that they have made to the children, youth and families at Alderbrook.
This Sunday we also want to let the ACC family know and introduce our new Kidzone/Middle Highschool Director(s).

If there are only twelve days left until Christmas, have you ever wondered what time is Christmas? It’s not a trick question. My sermon this Sunday is from Luke chapter 2 and asks the question: What time is Christmas?
It seems that one of the most precious commodities in December is our time (well, and our sleep) but have you ever considered this question? In fact, it says in Galatians 4:5 “When the right time came, the time when God decided on…He sent his son”. Isn’t that powerful? God had a plan and a very definite reason around the season of Christmas. You will be challenged and inspired as we look into God’s Word this Sunday and answer the question, What Time is Christmas?

See you on Sunday,

Pastor Glenn and Cheryl
